Finding Sheeko

Finding Sheeko – Marion Wall

Life is tough for an orphan orangutan, and Finding Sheeko is a book about just such a life.  Marion Wall has written the story from baby Sheeko’s perspective, from the moment he loses his mother and journeys on towards his new life.
Lost and alone, not educated enough to look after himself and scared.  Sheeko encounters strange creatures, sounds and events.  He grows hungry, eats food that makes him ill and sleeps where he falls.  How can Sheeko survive without his mother?

Marion Wall has used her own experience to bring this story to life.  She has visited Indonesia and worked on the Australian Orangutan project for 11 years.

Proceeds from the sale of this book will support orangutan conservation.

A good book for the classroom.
