Marmaduke Duck and the Marmalade Jam

It is no secret that we at Bug in a Book are big fans of the well written rhythmical rhyming children’s book.  They are my favourite kind.  Marmaduke Duck and the Marmalade Jam is a fantastic example of this book type.

Oh the trouble one jar of jam can cause!  Marmaduke Duck has made a jar of marmalade jam, and every animal from near and far would love to have it.  Being a well mannered bunch of animal friends they manage to watch from not too far away as Marmaduke enjoys his jam.  That is until the llama shows up.  Thank goodness for llama farmer Palmer who saves the day.

Marmaduke Duck has very quickly gained a high ranking status at our house, it is great to read, fantastic to listen to and Sarah Davis has illustrated it beautifully.  Juliette MacIver has the perfect recipe, fun, rhyme, animals, chaos and marmalade jam!

If you like The Fidgety Itch, you will love Marmaduke Duck and the Marmalade Jam.
