Daisy’s parents don’t listen. They REALLY don’t listen. She could say the house was on fire and they would nod and say “That’s nice dear”. So guess what happened when a big purple rhino just strolled right through the kitchen? That’s right no one listened! Mum and Dad were so busy and absorbed in their own lives they managed to not notice the big purple rhino eating the pancakes, stomping up the stairs, sitting on the couch and generally just making itself quite at home. Daisy becomes fond of her new rhino friend and would like to help him get back to his real home. After Dad discovers the pancakes are gone Daisy finally gets the chance to tell them. Well of course they just think she is imagining things so they take her to the zoo to see a real rhino. Well instead of a rhino there is a big sign saying: MISSING BIG PURPLE RHINO – LIKES PANCAKES. Is this enough for Daisy’s parents to listen to her? Can she get her Rhino home to where he longs to be, a million miles away?
Daisy and her big purple rhino are fun and fabulous! When a girl can’t turn to her parents who better than a rhino to share your thoughts and secrets with? Let Anna Kemp and Sara Ogilvie take you on a little adventure where friendship is cherished, sharing is a joy and home and family are really important.
Great fun, little lessons for the parents as well as the kids.
