Ever wondered what it would be like to eat 67 hotdogs in 10 minutes? Or to have a super kick-ass Nan? Or maybe licking a nice, big clump of Vegemite off of your sister’s big toe? Well if you said yes to any of these, or even said no, then this is the book for you!

Teleport into the amazing imagination of Tom Weekly as he tackles the world one crazy story at a time. Adults just don’t understand how hard it is to be a kid do they? So when they are all against you (including the magpies) just grab this book, go to your room and escape your big sister and her torture tactics with a book that understands the problems in life.

This was a fun book for me to read as it is a real down-to-earth book and I can just see the kids telling their friends the hilarious short stories to their friends on their lunch breaks.

One of the highlights would have to be the funny little illustrations in between paragraphs that really enhance the story, they made me chuckle at the fact that some words just can’t describe some situations.

All in all, My Life and Other Stuff I Made Up will be a great book for kids of all ages to enjoy for many years to come. On another note I will not be held accountable for any exploding stomaches from those who try to break the world record…
