I first met Marmaduke when he discovered the grapefruit tree and made his wonderful marmalade for the very first time (Marmaduke Duck and the Marmalade Jam).  It was instant love.  I have been enjoying his company ever since.  Now Marmaduke has a new adventure and it is every bit as delicious as his first recipe.

Marmaduke Duck and Bernadette Bear while not instant friends you could most certainly say, they sure give each other a run for their money.  You see after we last left Marmaduke he set up a marmalade shop at the top of Hollyhock Hill.  Many and varied animals come from near and far for the wonder that is the marmalade. And all is going swimmingly until Bernadette Bear comes along and sets up her honey shop right next door.  Well, Bernadette sure isn’t one for good honest competition.  Let’s just say she gets her just deserts? Just as well Marmaduke is such a sweet fellow as all works out in the end.

The fun and fantastic verses by Juliette McIver are always impressive and great to read.  While Sarah Davis’s illustrations are just gorgeous.

Destined to be a favourite.
