If you are a 10,000-year-old boy there are certain things that make you different.

  • You are pretty smart – Given all that learning time.
  • You don’t need (or want) to go to school…again.
  • You live somewhere secluded.
  1.     Because you out live everyone.
  2.     Because you don’t fit in.
  3.     Because you do weird science experiments.

Enter Trish (a representative for the education system) determined to send the island children to the nearest education facility, and here begins the wildest 24 hours of Mort and his (also very old) sister’s lives.  You can imagine (or can you?) the craziness of cloned creatures and famous historical figures, a spooky island and other mad science experiments.

Mort is a fast-paced story with out-of-the-ordinary characters swirled together in a vortex of creepy adventure and loads of fun.

Keep an eye out for book 2: Mortal Combat.
