Ladies and Gentlemen I am disappointed to have to inform you that in my absence due to illness we were – what I can only describe as – robbed. Sadly someone/s saw fit to steal our business name, our logo our domain and even some of our wording and create their own website. They have – when threatened with legal action – since removed our logo and our copyrighted material from their website. However I have no legal right to demand our business name (trading name) or our domain which I had let lapse while I was unwell. As you can imagine I am quite distressed about this and it has really disappointed me that people can really be that low.
We do not make profit from our business we do it for the love of it. What we do have is our name. We have been around since 2009 and while we have evolved quite a lot in that time. Our purpose remains true and that is bringing a love of literacy to the greater community.
Recently I have had to cut back my work load but that has not changed my love of literacy, especially for children and the huge difference it makes to their lives and the community as a whole. If anything good has become of this it is that having to fight for our business has made me realise once again how much it really means to me. We will go on. We will not let this hold us back. Thank you to everyone who has stood by us. Everyone who has spoken up for us at this time and those who continue to be a part of our Bug in a Book community. We thank you from the bottom of our hearts.
