This story is sort of what you make it. A young girl draws herself into a world of adventure and things she doesn’t see every day. She uses her red crayon to create things to help her on her way. There are no words to help you take this journey. In part it is the story you tell. She sees great and amazing things and meets someone with an imagination as powerful as hers.
This is a wonderful book to encourage a child’s imagination. They can make up their own interpretations of the story and in the process see what the power of the imagination can achieve. It is a delightful journey to take a child on, filled with quiet wonder. If you like books that are a little different then definitely pick this up.
