This is a lovely story about introducing a new baby to siblings and the importance of grandmothers. This grandmother is wise. She doesn’t outstay her welcome when the new baby comes home but she gives love and support and anticipates reactions to the change a new baby brings to family dynamics.

The illustrations are soft watercolours and give the reader plenty to discover and discuss. It’s a perfect story for a household with young children.

Reviewer Megan Stuart

Although grandmothers traditionally have a positive impact in stories I have noticed over the years that they have moved from being slightly frumpy to having bright earrings and looking slightly hippy. Rarely does a grandmother appear in a suit ready for a day at the office.
