7 Days is a compelling and disturbing story of bullying and abuse from two character’s perspectives: the bully and the victim. Spread over the course of seven days, the reader gets an insight into the lives of both characters: Kez (the bully) and Jess (the victim) who are equally unaware of each other’s personal struggles and problems. You will find it hard to put this one down until you have reached the tense conclusion.
Eve Ainsworth does an excellent job of writing a contemporary reflection of the harsh reality of what bullying is really like these days. The book’s short length makes this is a quick, thought-provoking novel, which is a real eye opener for bully’s and victims everywhere.
A must read for any teenager, or adult who has been touched by teenage bullying.
