300 Minutes of Danger is a clever concept by Australian author Jack Heath. This book has 10 short stories; each estimated to take about 30 minutes of reading time; each full of suspense and action; and each uniquely different from the next. There is a countdown starting at 30 minutes and working backwards in the margin of every story, which aims to motivate the reader to finish each tale.
From nuclear hazards to plane crashes to a killer virus this book has something for everyone. Readers who like action and adventure and brave characters facing all sorts of intense and exciting situations won’t be disappointed. Award winning author Jack Heath doesn’t disappoint and fans of his other books will also love this collection of short stories. Recommended for upper primary and lower secondary students due to the sometimes scary story lines.
