Making bombs for Hitler centres on Lida and her younger sister who are separated when they are caught by the Nazis. The strength of their characters and the struggle to survive and help each other is truly remarkable. These brave young children have seen so many horrors find the courage to go on and face more horrors with dignity.
There are many books written about the Nazis and World War 2 but I did not know that they kidnapped children and put them to work in factories to assemble their bombs for them. This powerful and moving story is an eye-opener to another aspect of the Nazi rule. Whilst not a comfortable read, it is a well written, worthwhile read.
