The Great Rabbit Chase introduces us to a neighbourhood. Unfortunately we don’t know our neighbours as well as I suspect we used to some years ago but for a short time the people in this neighbourhood join together while looking for Gumboots the rabbit. The neighbours all stop and enjoy their surroundings together. What a pity it only seems to happen in books! A lovely story and beautifully illustrated.
